Tell Me Why
I keep hearing the song that we heard on TV Last night as we lay in our bed: That lovely old song with the name "Tell Me Why" Turns meaningful love on its head.
Imagine, my Love, that I sang you this song Intending my love to construe. I’d say that the reason I love you, Sweetheart, Is that God the creator made you.
Would you be delighted to hear words like these? I really don’t think there’s a chance. For God the creator made not only you, But spiders and crickets and ants.
The words make more sense with one three-letter change Though at first they may strike you as odd. Just give them a moment, let them sink in: God made you, that’s why I love God.
